The Special Interest Group on Art and Psychiatry, in collaboration with the Groupe Hospitalier Universitaire Paris, held an additional online meeting on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM Central European Time, dedicated to research methodologies in art and mental health. This session featured Julia Martin, Mental Health General Director in Berazategui, Buenos Aires, and Professor-Researcher at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), who delivered a preliminary report on her research methodology investigating the application of art in mental health. Following a short general introduction and her presentation, the session transitioned into an extensive general discussion on research methods for evaluating the effects of artistic interventions in psychiatric practice. This was organized by Itsuo Asai (Japan); Alberto Velasco (France); and Hans Rohlof (Netherlands).
