Maps & Territory with a Gender Perspective in Mexican Culture

The Family and Culture Special Interest Group hosted a specialized webinar, entitled “Maps and Territory with a Gender Perspective in Mexican Culture,” focusing on an in-depth clinical case presentation in couple therapy, on June 26, 2025. The session was structured to bridge cultural frameworks with therapeutic practice, offering a nuanced examination of gender dynamics within the Mexican sociocultural context. Moderated by Dr. Di Nicola, the webinar featured two distinguished practitioners: Javier Vicencio Guzman (Founder of the CRISOL Postgraduate Center for Family Therapy) and Mariana Manrique de Lara Ruiz (Clinical Psychologist) from Mexico.

Following the primary clinical exposition, the program transitioned into a moderated discussion, fostering an academic dialogue that critically engages with the intersection of cultural mapping, territorial identities, and gendered perspectives in therapeutic settings.
